We are starting our 7th year as full time RV'ers. We have spent the last month in Iowa and Minnesota. We attended the Alumni banquet over Memorial Day weekend and had lunch with four of our classmates.
We visited daughter,Tami, and family in Fort Dodge

  (Tami,Andrew,Chelsea, and Keaton)

and son, Steve, and his wife,Lisa, in Minneapolis.

 (Grandaughter,Jessica, with Steve and Lisa)

We spent two weeks camping in the Des Moines area before we returned to Guthrie Center for their 150th celebration and their all School reunion. We were able to see many students that were in school when I taught there from 1969 to 1974. We will be leaving the Midwest next week to spend the summer in the northwest
.

We have spent three days at Hazen Bay Recreation Area.  We visited the knife River Indian villages which is the home of the Hidasta Indians and is a National Historic site in North Dakota. They had and Earth Lodge that depicted how the Indians lived and how the extended family was housed in the 40 ft. diameter structure.

We took  a day trip to the international peace garden along the North Dakota Manatoba Border.  More than a hundred fifty thousand flowers are planted each summer in brilliant and ever-changing displays.  The gardens are located in a 2300 acre forest along the border.  The floral clock is a popular attraction.  It is 18 feet high and displays a new fresh floral design each year.

We also stopped in Rugby, ND which is the site for the geographical center of North America.

We stopped overnight in Medora,ND and toured the Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit. We drove the 36 mile loop and saw several herds of buffalo and enjoyed the spectacular vistas.
